STOP PRESS:    Many Congrats to A Grader Graham Atkins (Hcp) 8 who shot the Lights out as you can see above TOP SCORER with FORTY THREE POINTS in ALL GRADES ! WELL DONE once again !!

First my Apologies for my non attendance at After game Presentations, due not to my poor performance on the Course but to attend to my better half who is recovering from Back Surgery.

Nice to get to a Game without threat of rain and a pretty good turnup of 33 Players, but it would be nice to get over that 40 mark again !! I must say that the course presentation continues to improve though my Partner on the day Roy Caddick both reckon that there are more dead golf Balls at The Links than there are graves at Rookwood. As I have been performing like a “girl” lately I turned up with a sixpack of PINK balls …. only two remain in my bag !! Roy did not fare much better!!

One PUTT Champions on PRESO SID’S Nearest the pin hole were Kenny (Reggie) Sawers, Rob (Poppa Smurf) Standing and Ian Dawes !!  Not sure how Sid fared ??

A grader Vic Clemente started his day slowly with Club Handicapper Brian Constable , scoring only 10 points from 8 Holes, then 25 from 10 Holes after Brian Went Home !!  ??

Now words of Wisdom from T. O’D …. “they say that the sign of MADNESS is doing the same thing over and over and Expecting a different Result “   …. Well Club Sponsor MR GLACKEN used his 6 iron from 150 m out, but alas into the bunker, next shot 4 feet in front, then back to where he started, back into the bunker, back to where he started, back into the same bunker….. T.O’D’s final words, GOD GIVE ME STRENGTH !!! No Quitter our Mr Glacken !!

Rumour has it that Shaun Dunbar is a possible Candidate for The Olympics AS A THROWER !! 1st the Chipper went, then the Putter , then the Glove  and for good measure the Putter again !! Sure can get you DOWN this grand old game

New Players visiting were Greg Smith and Ray Wylie ….. we hope they enjoyed themselves as they were not sighted at Lunch. Remember guys, be on the lookout for new members to maintain our reputation as The Best Social Club in The Illawarra.

A few thoughts to appease those struggling with their game: Did you hear about the bloke that spent so much time in THE BUNKER he got mail addressed to HITLER ! Our Lady Patron, PAM HASTIE has decided to take Lessons !!! Not in Golf but First Aid in case Phil Martin is playing in front or behind husband Brian !!  …and finally the last word from BOB HOPE “Arnold Palmer told me how to cut 8 strokes off my score…. SKIP ONE OF THE PAR THREE’S !!  CU at Calderwood ..Phil M
