History Established in 1959, Shellharbour Bowling Club continues to this day to be an important social hub of the local community. Following the amalgamation with Warilla Bowls in 1999 and recent renovations, the Club has experienced rapid growth in membership. The Club offers a comprehensive bowls calender and visitors are especially welcome. Shellharbour is locally known as the friendly small club of the Illawarra, a great place for a game of bowls and a fantastic value meal in the Money Tree Bistro.

On behalf of the committee & all members, we offer our sincerest condolences to members of the Mitchell family, the Steward family and the Tindall family on the passing Harry, Ossie and Don respectively. Both Harry & wife Pat were strong supporters of Shellharbour, on & off the green in the past, with Ossie and Don regulars at Shellharbour social events. These three great Club men will be sorely missed. On the 31st March we are holding our masquerade ball at Warilla Bowling Club. Cost will be $45 per person which is great value with a fabulous 3 course meal, entertainment and a free raffle ticket. 1st prize will be a minimum $2,000 travel voucher, 2nd prize a 82cm plasma TV & third prize a blue ray DVD player. Mal Pearson is conducting skills practice coaching sessions each Wednesday afternoon with good numbers of men & ladies turning up. Congratulation to Mal on his recent selection in the zone 16 senior’s side that contested the inter-zone series in Newcastle. The club 4’s final is scheduled for Sunday 5th February; John Ritchie, Alan Robb, Tony Piana & Mal Pearson will play Rod Logan, Jason Logan, Paul Rooke & Mick Barber. The Club triples will commence Saturday 26th February. On Friday night 10th February four grades will play pennant trails against Warilla, 2 games at home & 2 away. Our top three grades will play Warilla on Friday 24th February.
